You're sitting across from a partner. The cards are dealt. Someone's about to bid too high — and it might be you.
Spades is the classic trick-taking card game where counting cards is half the battle and reading your partner is the other half. You bid how many tricks you think you can take. Your partner does the same. Together, you're trying to hit that number without going over. Bid too low and you leave points on the table. Bid too high and you're in the hole, watching your score drop while your opponents climb.
The game plays in rounds. Each round, you're dealt 13 cards. Spades are always trump — they beat everything else. You lead with a card, everyone follows suit if they can, and the highest card of that suit — or the highest spade — takes the trick. Simple mechanics. Deep strategy. One wrong play and you've handed your opponents the lead.
The AI doesn't mess around. It'll sandbag you, force you to waste your trump cards, and leave you wishing you'd bid one less. But when you and your partner sync up — when you read each other's plays without a word — that's when Spades becomes something else.
Classic card game. Clean interface. No downloads. Browser only. Just you, your partner, and 52 cards that never deal the same hand twice.
