Stalker 2033: The Path of the Survivor is one of those games I did not expect to like.
The whole point is survival. Waves of enemies close in, and you have to grab power-ups and choose your upgrades carefully.
The difficulty curve feels fair. Nothing comes out of nowhere.
The hardest part is the beginning. Stick with it until you unlock your second upgrade.
I have replayed it more times than I would admit.

Now he has to not only fight for survival in a new, cruel world, but also reveal its secrets. Collecting information bit by bit, he tries to understand the nature of the disaster and its impact on people..
